Summary: Which came first: the killing of the first-born of Egypt, or the “killing” of their gods?

Concepts: The Dayenu song of the Pesach seder versus the pasuk of Shemot. In haggadah we sing: Hashem placed judgement on the idols of the Egyptians and He decided to kill all of the first borns..  In the pasuk, Hashem will kill first borns and then judge the gods. Pasuk 29 does not record that the idols were destroyed. The idol of baal tzafon (related to money).
