“Between” the narrow places (Eichah 1:3 “Bein” Hamitzarim ) or “within” the narrow places? Are the 3 weeks bookended by the two fasts or are all three weeks a part of it? “Bein” Hamitzarim is hinted at in the Torah. The three week are times for repentance. The 16th of Tamuz and the second half of 9 Av are positive bookends for the three weeks (the game of Othello).
